Hey you guys. If somebody ever tells you highschool is easy… They are lying. So I was planning on doing another haul but I have to save it for another time. So I thought to do a lifestylish post . So I’ve been making small changes in my life to see if it makes a difference and it really does. Just small things makes a huge difference.
I believe that to be motivated is not always the easiest thing, but it definitely pays off. I’ve been so motivated after I realized that being able to run 5 km, and not dying, feels amazing. And I overall like the idea of a healthy lifestyle so I would like to share my tips and what I’ve been doing to start my healthy quest. And sure you can see it as a negative thing, and ugh it’s soooo horrible. Or! You can find something you love and excel in it.
So let’s get started
I’ve been doing squats before I eat, shower and when I come home from school. Only 20 at a time. But if I do it 3-5 times a day it will build some muscle and make my legs look more lean. I love squats and they are so easy to do. (Just make sure you are doing it right!). If you really don’t like squats do a few lunges up and down the passages or from the kitchen to your room. Fun little things that benefit your body will make a difference! I also maybe 3 times a week do a Blogilates video exercise. Not only is it fun, but Cassey is the best Motivator of life and
I highly recommend:
– Muffintop Massacre
– 6 min to sexy booty
– 6min to sexy thighs
– 6min to sexy abs
– 6min to a sexy little waist
– 5 min to long lean legs
So let’s talk about vitamin infused water. Now I know, not everybody believes that it does anything, but I beg to differ. My skin glows and feels amazing. My body feels really good and my stress level are less. I mean call it magic but it’s amazing. If you don’t believe in the mumbo jumbo I totally understand, but here is a theory: if you make something boring taste better, you would be more keen to drink it right?
My favorite infused water picks:
– cucumber, lemon slices and water. (You can put some mint in. It’s super amazing!) this is my day to day basis drink of choice and what I use to detox my skin. I highly recommend you try this if you have skin issues.
– Berries (all kinds! You can even poke them to make the flavors taste even better!) and some mint
– Raspberry lime!
– Orange slices, lemon slices and grape fruit slices!
– Pineapple mint! Oh my goodness yum!
So you guys. After going sugar free (with an occasional treat!) I discovered that starch and sugar isn’t all that . And it caused my cystic acne. I don’t recommend the Banting because you shed weight like crazy (not in a Healthy way!). But I do recommend low carb high fat. It’s a little more forgiving and so much fun! If you do some research you might find that it’s actually totally do able. The problem I have with Banting is, because a lot of foods actually contains a tiny bit of starch you are not aloud to eat it. But low carb high fat let’s you have it but not in an excessive way. I know I am the biggest sweet tooth on this planet but I do treat myself! But I found that I’m either gonna feel horrible and eat sugar and starch … Or I’m just gonna eat like I normally do and be totally fine. The hardest thing to give up is bread! It was hard at the start but now I hardly miss it! If you are not good with going all cold turkey!
Here is some alternatives that I still eat if I’m craving for a bit of starch:
– brown rice (my favorite!)
– Low GI bread (yum)
– I still eat rye bread sometimes because I love it!
– If you are craving some chocolate, you do learn to appreciate dark chocolate( and that’s coming from someone who refused to eat anything but white chocolate!)
– Whole wheat pasta ( I love me some pasta, but I’ve been loving zucchini pasta, but sometimes I want the pasta!)
– Xylitol and stevia instead of sugar. (I would recommend stevia over Xylitol only because it’s plant based, but it does have an… Distinctive taste)
Another thing that has absolutely changed my life is having fun with salads. Now the problem with salads is that they sound boring and bleh. But! They don’t have to be. I add chickpeas to my salad. I use leftover chicken in my salad, nuts are great in salads. Have fun with color and texture and fruit. Go crazy!
If you want to loose weight, set goals! Or if there is a certain distance you want to jog, treat yourself. Write them down! Visualize them! I know that if I want to jog 10 km I need to take part in a fun run to get me motivated. Or I can say that I I do 10 I can buy myself the lipstick I want or, just something that will bring joy to my life! Or I can go to Froyo or something that I love. Being said, nobody needs to look like they are a Victoria Secrets model! Set your own goals, not other people’s. Social media gives us a image in our brain of what we are supposed to look like, but that’s not the case. Be your own kind of beautiful!
And my final tip for today is… Don’t be obsessed! I was obsessed and it’s not healthy. You find even the smallest things to scare you, but I choose being health over looking good. Don’t keep standing on the scale. It will drive you crazy!
I’m super sorry that these photos aren’t my own, and I don’t take credit for any of them, I just wanted to upload this post ASAP !
I would love to make this a series on my blog because I love reading these kind of posts, so hopefully it works out!
The most beautiful body in the world, is a healthy one.
I hope you guys enjoyed and I hope you found this helpful!
Love Chelsea! xx
